Brand Communication Assistant Job Description

s a Brand Communication Assistant, you'll be part of a busy team that’s focused on ensuring the Kingfisher range of brands remain recognisable, up to date and exciting to customers.

Do you have experience working in a product brand communication environment? Kingfisher are looking for an individual with excellent project management skills and great attention to detail. What you’ll be doing as a Brand Communication Assistant

Your key responsibilities would include:

  • Completing an icon audit by brand and identifying gaps
  • Undertaking a review of digital asset management (DAM) tagging
  • PIQ analysis for upcoming range reviews
  • Building competitor reviews for key brand initiatives such as the Garden Loyalty Club
  • Reviewing multi-channel banner content use for key range reviews
  • Housekeeping of DAM imagery
  • Approval and tracking of vendor imagery
  • Providing support on trading/fixes
  • Creation of icons
  • Pulling reports from Workfront on scheduling of workload

Skills, qualifications and experience needed for a Brand Communication Assistant

  • Experience working in a product brand communication environment
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive on working in a matrixed, always-on environment across multiple time zones and teams
  • Packaging artwork management experience is preferable
  • Previous retail experience is desirable

Data Controller Job Description

As a Data Controller, you’ll be part of a busy team that liaises with vendors, suppliers and factories to develop, gather, collate and manage the data that provides all the essential details that track progress against Kingfisher’s Sustainability KPIs.

Do you have experience in developing, gathering, collating and managing template data? Kingfisher are looking for an individual who is analytical by nature, with the skills to write clear and concise reports and summaries. If you are proactive, self-sufficient and highly motivated, as well as flexible to changing priorities and good at collaborating with other team members, then this could be the job you’ve been searching for.

What you’ll be doing as a Data Controller

Your key responsibilities would include:

  • Developing and managing the consolidation of vendor and factory data supplied by Kingfisher Sourcing Offices & Banners
  • Manipulation of data downloaded from Sedex and BSCI Amfori systems to track progress against Kingfisher’s Responsible Sourcing KPIs
  • Amalgamation of multiple spreadsheets and de-duplicating of data
  • Input of data into multiple trackers and recording the latest updates
  • Producing monthly updates to reflect change in products, suppliers and factories
  • Liaising with vendors to obtain data regarding Kingfisher criteria related to the Sustainable Home Product guidelines
  • Supporting the wood and paper team to gather, collate and manage input data on the wood and paper database, and associated base files and file structure in Microsoft Teams
  • Producing tracking and report data sets to provide detail on progress against Kingfisher Sustainability KPIs
  • Producing monthly updates to reflect changes in products, suppliers and wood and paper data
  • Liaising with the wood and paper specialist to capture and collate the relevant FSC Licence Usage agreements
  • Checking the certification status of vendors through interrogation of the FSC/PEFC database

Skills, qualifications and experience needed for a Data Controller

  • Strong data analysis and management skills using internal and external systems
  • Experience of reporting, communicating and presenting on complex data sets

Change Control Analyst Job Description

Working within the Data Model Change Control team and closely with the Product Description Data acquisition team, as a Change Control Analyst your focus will be on making the customer journey easier, more inspiring and to enable self-choice across all of Kingfisher’s channels.

Are you experienced in data modelling and optimising content for digital engagement? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines?

Kingfisher is looking for someone with corporate experience, strong knowledge of PIM systems, and a background in business change or transformation. You’ll be confident influencing stakeholders, resilient under pressure and highly analytical, with excellent attention to detail.

Experience with DIY product ranges is advantageous.

What you’ll be doing as a Change Control Analyst

As a Change Control Analyst, your role will define and enhance the Group Data Model, which is used to collect all customer selling data. The role will work with both the O&S and Banner teams to deliver world-class product data and information, whatever the channel. Your key responsibilities would include:

  • Governing requests to add attributes and specific values to the current PIM Data Model
  • Supporting markets migration onto the Data Model by processing their requests
  • Identifying areas of the Data Model that need improving to support markets’ local products (such as subgroup creation and duplicate removal)
  • Communicating with markets on a weekly basis to make sure they understand the decisions made by the change control team, using currently defined principles to guide decision making
  • Supporting our offshore team (TCS) with configuration of approved changes to the Data Model
  • Conducting impact analysis for any medium to high impact changes
  • Analysing data requests to make sure consistency is being applied throughout the Data Model
  • Working alongside wider migration teams, delivery leads, project teams and configuration teams to ensure prioritisation meets delivery requirements
  • Dealing with ad-hoc requests, balancing shifting priorities
  • Supporting the wider team as required, according to agreed priorities

Skills, qualifications and experience needed for a Change Control Analyst

  • Essential technical competencies in: Microsoft Outlook; advanced Excel including pivot tables, macros, formulas and VBA; intermediate Word; intermediate PowerPoint; advanced PowerPoint Visio; SharePoint; MS Project; Microsoft 365; Lync
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A drive to deliver – you’re conscientious, pragmatic, organised and keep your commitments. You go beyond boundaries to contribute and seek mutual benefits
  • Proactive planning – you look and plan ahead, setting priorities whilst balancing both short and longer-term requirements
  • A broad thinker – you have the ability to anticipate a range of factors, assimilate and evaluate information quickly, manage complexity and adapt to a constantly changing environment whilst maintaining focus on the critical path
  • Excellent oral and written English
