Residential Conveyancing Assistant
Location: Eastleigh outskirts
Job Type: Full-time, 9-Month Maternity Contract (Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm)
Salary: c£25,000pa

We are seeking an organised, proactive, and client-focused Residential Conveyancing Assistant to join our client's busy Residential Property team on a 9 month maternity contract which could extend longer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good administrative skills who enjoys working in a professional, fast-paced environment and delivering excellent client service.

Supporting Fee Earners and the wider Conveyancing team, you will assist with a range of conveyancing and administrative duties. Whilst experience in a similar role would be ideal, the company would also consider an experienced administrator or legal or business graduate with some office experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for clients by phone, email, and in person.
  • Provide quotations, take instructions, and open new files.
  • Manage client on boarding, including ID verification and AML checks.
  • Monitor the new business inbox and quotation platform.
  • Follow up quotations and diarise key actions.
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, solicitors, and third parties.
  • Obtain title documents, redemption statements, deeds, management packs, and search results.
  • Prepare and issue contract documentation.
  • Maintain diaries, arrange appointments, and support Fee Earners with file management.
  • Produce accurate correspondence and legal documents using the case management system.
  • Assist with general administration, including post, filing, scanning, and stationery orders.
  • Organise meetings and support departmental activities.
