Role - Media Manager
Client - University of Southampton
Location - Highfield Campus SO17
Salary - £24.50 per hour
Type - 6 Month Minimum, Hybrid working
Tate are looking for an experienced Media Manager to lead proactive media relations activity, secure high-profile coverage, and tell compelling stories that enhance the University of Southampton's reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop newsworthy stories across the organisation.
- Write press releases, features and media content.
- Build strong relationships with journalists, editors and broadcasters.
- Manage media enquiries and organise interviews, press briefings and photo opportunities.
- Support and coach senior stakeholders in media engagement.
- Deliver proactive media campaigns and contribute to crisis communications.
About You
You'll have:
- Proven experience in media relations, PR or communications.
- A track record of securing national or international media coverage.
- Excellent writing, storytelling and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience translating complex information into engaging content.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
