- Handling routine queries and complaints in a friendly and empathetic way
- Gathering relevant information and keeping accurate customer records
- Following cases through from initial enquiry to resolution
- Escalating more complex or sensitive queries when required
- Coordinating follow-ups and ensuring outstanding queries are actioned
- Spotting recurring customer questions or issues and flagging these to the wider team
- Arranging and sending product samples
- Working across different brands and systems in a busy customer-focused environment
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, hospitality or another people-focused environment
- A confident and friendly communicator, both written and verbal
- Comfortable dealing with customer queries and complaints
- Calm and professional when dealing with dissatisfied customers
- Organised, accurate and able to manage several tasks at once
- Good attention to detail
- Confident using email and computer systems and able to learn new software quickly
- Proactive, reliable and keen to learn
- Able to recognise when something needs to be escalated
- Experience within food, online retail, e-commerce or subscription services would be helpful, but isn't essential. Training will be provided on the company's customer service systems.
