Child Protection Conference Report Writer

Location: Stevenage
Rate: £16.35ph
Contract: Temporary, ASAP until end of Nov 2026

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Child Protection Conference Report Writer to support the preparation of accurate, professional, and timely reports for Child Protection Conferences.

This is an important role where you will work closely with professionals across children's services, ensuring that conference documentation is clear, comprehensive, and produced to a high standard. The successful candidate will have excellent written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend Child Protection Conferences (virtually or in person as required).
  • Produce high-quality, accurate reports and meeting summaries within agreed timescales.
  • Record discussions, decisions, and actions arising from conferences.
  • Ensure documentation complies with safeguarding procedures, policies, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Liaise with social workers, conference chairs, and other professionals to gather and verify information.
  • Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems as required.
  • Prioritise workloads effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

About You

  • Excellent written English with strong grammar and report-writing skills.
  • Previous experience within safeguarding, children's services, social care, education, healthcare, or a similar environment.
  • Ability to accurately capture and summarise complex discussions.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
  • Experience taking minutes or producing formal reports would be highly advantageous.
  • Understanding of child protection and safeguarding processes is desirable.
