Credit Control Assistant - Eastleigh - £28,000 + bonus - Full time hours based in the office 4 days a week and working 1 day from home

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out credit checks on new customers using external credit agencies
- Setting, reviewing, and maintaining customer credit limits and terms
- Chasing overdue invoices via phone and email
- Posting and allocating customer payments accurately
- Resolving invoice queries and disputes to prevent payment delays
- Monitoring the aged debt ledger and escalating non-payment where necessary
- Maintaining accurate customer master data and records
- Assisting with month-end processes and year-end audit requirements
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within credit control
- Providing regular updates on debtor performance and potential risks
Skills & Experience Required
- GCSEs in Mathematics and English
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or finance environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confidence making decisions, even with incomplete information
