The Opportunity

My client is a well‑established and values‑led organisation within the arts and education space, offering creative programmes, events and learning opportunities to a wide and diverse audience.

They are now looking for a hands‑on Digital Marketing Executive to join a small, collaborative marketing team and take ownership of day‑to‑day digital activity.

This is a practical, delivery‑focused role. Its ideal for someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up, capturing real moments, creating content and bringing an organisation's work to life online. It is not a strategic marketing role, but there is plenty of opportunity to contribute ideas and shape how content is delivered.

An interest in music, the arts or culture would be a real advantage, as passion for the subject matter shines through the content you'll be creating.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for planning, creating and delivering engaging digital marketing activity across social media, email and website platforms, working closely with colleagues across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating engaging content across social media, email and web channels
  • Being on‑site regularly to capture activity, events and everyday moments through photos, video and copy
  • Managing and growing social media channels (primarily Facebook and Instagram) with a focus on engagement and relevance
  • Writing clear, engaging copy that reflects tone of voice and brand guidelines
  • Creating simple visual content using Canva
  • Scheduling and publishing content in line with activity calendars and booking cycles
  • Creating and sending targeted email campaigns, using segmentation to improve engagement
  • Updating and maintaining website content using a CMS
  • Working with colleagues across programmes, events and commercial activity to promote courses, concerts and services
  • Monitoring performance and using insight to continuously improve content and campaigns

You'll be part of a small team, so the role suits someone comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with others.

Working Pattern & Flexibility

  • This is a part‑time role (21 hours per week)
  • Friday is a non‑negotiable working day
  • The remaining hours can be worked flexibly across the week (e.g. two full days or a mix of shorter days)
  • The role is largely on‑site to allow you to capture content as it happens, with some flexibility for hybrid working once established

What We're Looking For

This role would suit someone earlier in their marketing career or operating at an executive level who enjoys delivery rather than strategy.

You'll ideally bring:

  • Experience creating and managing social media content for an organisation (including basic video)
  • Strong writing skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence using tools such as Canva and social scheduling platforms
  • Comfort working with website CMS platforms
  • A practical, "can‑do" mindset and strong organisational skills
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • An interest in music, arts, culture or education (highly advantageous)

Marketing qualifications are welcome but hands‑on experience and attitude are more important.

Why Apply?

  • A genuinely creative and purpose‑led environment
  • A role where you can see the direct impact of your work
  • Friendly, supportive and collaborative culture
  • Part‑time hours with flexibility
  • Additional benefits including generous holiday allowance (pro rata) and unique perks linked to the organisation's work

If this reads like a role where you'd enjoy being present, creative and involved, rather than stuck behind a desk producing strategy documents, we'd love to hear from you.

Please be aware this advert will remain open until the vacancy has been filled. Interviews will take place throughout this period, therefore we encourage you to apply early to avoid disappointment.
