Location: Central Manchester

Working Pattern: 3 days in the office 2 from home after a period of training

We're working with an excellent, people‑focused partnership business based in central Manchester that is looking for an Office Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team.

This role is ideal for someone with some office experience who is now ready to step into a position with real career progression. You'll work very closely with the Office Manager, who will fully train, support, and mentor you, with the aim of helping you progress into a more senior role over time.

Duties include:

General Administration

  • Welcome visitors and clients, ensuring they have a positive experience
  • Help arrange travel bookings such as trains, hotels, and taxis
  • Assist with typing documents, preparing simple reports, and formatting information
  • Manage incoming post, including sorting, scanning, and distributing
  • Help keep the office calendar up to date with meetings and staff availability
  • Monitor and respond to general office emails where required
  • Answer telephone calls and direct enquiries to the right person
  • Order and maintain office supplies such as stationery and kitchen items
  • Support with organising meetings, including setting up Microsoft Teams calls and meeting rooms
  • Work closely with the Office Manager and wider team to provide general support

Finance Support

  • Assist with basic billing tasks and updating information on internal systems
  • Help process expenses and credit card receipts, ensuring all information is accurate
  • Support with checking and organising financial documents

Planning Support

  • Assist with uploading documents and information to online systems (e.g. planning portals)
  • Help prepare materials for projects and consultations
  • Organise and save documents correctly in the company's filing systems
  • Support the team with sending documents to clients
