Why work at Phoenix Group?

Have you ever worked at a company where you feel that you can truly be yourself? Phoenix Group understands that a diverse mix of voices leads to better discussions, decisions and results for all. That’s why the business wants its people to be their authentic selves at work.

As well as offering a range of rewarding careers – from accountants, actuaries, auditors and analysts to project managers, claims assessors and customer service representatives – Phoenix wants every colleague to feel truly valued for who they are – and to understand how important they are to the success of the business. Every person is valued at Phoenix – regardless of age, gender identity, neurodiversity, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic background or anything else.

Bring your whole self to work

In fact, Phoenix encourages you to bring your whole self to work. The company is committed to building an inclusive workplace that reflects the diverse range of customers and communities it serves, where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. This approach enables all colleagues to contribute and fulfil their potential – and to develop a way of working which best suits their needs, whether they’ve worked in the pensions sector before or not.

Joe, Team Manager, says: “The prospects and opportunities are endless at Phoenix Group. The company has so many great things to offer you, grab them with both hands and get stuck in! There are so many brilliant people around you to support you, no matter what stage you are in your career, or experience you have in pensions, there’s opportunities knocking at every door.”

Inclusivity and diversity support across the brand

To ensure inclusivity and diversity are embedded within the business, Phoenix has nine network groups, founded and run by colleagues. These include: the Affinity Network for LGBT+ colleagues and allies; Enable, which raises awareness and increases understanding of disabilities and long-term health conditions; Mind Matters to promote understanding of mental health; and Mosaic for supporting the development of black, Asian and minority ethnic communities.

Bethany, Quality Control Manager, says: “The company has supported me in so many ways through the changes and challenges I have faced in my life whilst growing up and learning the ropes of day-to-day life. They have helped me grow professionally but also personally too.”
