Our Recruitment Process

How we work with candidates
For our candidates, we've created a simple and friendly process that makes finding a new job a little less daunting.

Here is what you can expect from Tate when you register:

Step one: Getting to know you

We'll have a chat over the phone to get an idea of what you are looking for. Typical questions include what your professional background is, what type of work you prefer and which industries you have worked in.

Then, depending on your answers, we may ask you to complete a simple assessment, which you can complete in our office or at home. Following that, we'll invite you to an interview at your nearest Tate office.

Step two: Meet your Tate consultant

You’ll meet your personal, dedicated Tate consultant. In this introductory interview, we’ll waste little time on forms – we simply ask you to sign a declaration at the end. Instead, we’ll focus on you: your skills, experience, aspirations and motivations.

At the end of the interview, we can talk through any suitable roles that are immediately available. And if your CV needs to be re-shaped in any way to improve your employability, we’ll explain what’s needed.

Step three: Regular updates and interview coaching

Your consultant will be in touch regularly with offers, updates and advice.  When a relevant position comes up, we’ll help you with tailoring your CV, writing your cover letter and preparing you for the interview.

You’ll get detailed feedback after interviews, and we’re always available for advice any time you need us. Your consultant is your partner, and they’re as committed to your success as you are.
