Housing Repairs Case Officer
Winchester
£32,000-£36,000 (DOE)
We're seeking a skilled housing repairs specialist to join a busy and supportive team in Winchester. Ideally, you'll bring solid experience in property repairs cases, like damp and mould, along with excellent communication skills and a highly organised approach. If you're driven by helping others and delivering outstanding housing services, this permanent full‑time opportunity could be a great fit. This role is a mixture of office based and out in the community.
The Role
As a Case Officer, you will:
- Offer clear advice, guidance, and support to residents on how to prevent and manage damp and mould in their homes.
- Conduct home visits to diagnose problems, arrange appropriate treatments, and ensure effective solutions for damp, mould, and condensation issues.
- Work closely with the wider housing team and colleagues across landlord services to secure the best outcomes for residents.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, and key stakeholders, helping to uphold the organisation's strong reputation as a trusted social housing provider.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Is proactive, motivated, and focused on finding solutions.
- Has experience within social housing, property management or another high‑profile, customer‑centred environment.
- Brings sound knowledge of property maintenance, damp treatment, and repairs processes.
- Performs well under pressure and in time‑sensitive situations.
- Shows excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to mediate, reassure, and manage varying expectations.
- Has strong administrative abilities and excellent time management.
- Is confident using housing management and/or asset management systems.
- Holds a full driving licence and has access to their own vehicle.
