My client, a well‑established organisation, is looking for a highly organised and proactive Office Assistant to join the team on a 9‑month maternity cover contract. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily office organisation and ensure a professional working environment
- Monitor and replenish office supplies, supporting small‑scale procurement tasks
- Support HR processes such as onboarding, absence tracking and updating employee records
- Provide administrative assistance to the Office Manager and senior leadership
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Greet visitors, oversee deliveries and act as a first point of contact
- Manage incoming and outgoing post and respond to phone enquiries
- Arrange staff travel, accommodation and meeting logistics
- Maintain compliance, health & safety documentation and supplier records
- Support the creation of internal documents, reports and presentations
- Perform general administrative duties including scanning, filing, photocopying and shredding
- Schedule meetings, interviews and assist with diary coordination
About You
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident using office software and IT systems
- Proactive, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple tasks
- Approachable, supportive and able to work with colleagues at all levels
- Previous office‑based administrative experience is essential
