Tate is working with a well‑established manufacturing business in Hitchin that is seeking an accomplished HR Advisor (CIPD Level 3 minimum) to provide additional support during a period of increased workload.

This is a six‑month temporary assignment offering immediate start, weekly pay, and the chance to visit the site and meet the client before committing to the role.

Key Responsibilities

You will support the HR function with both administrative and advisory tasks, including:

Absence & Timekeeping

  • Managing the absence spreadsheet and updating records
  • Supporting absence management processes, including associates absent over 4 weeks
  • Producing file notes and assisting with disciplinary cases
  • Supporting managers with poor timekeeping issues

Occupational Health Support

  • Coordinating annual health surveillance scheduling
  • Updating databases following OH assessments
  • Uploading management referrals to a OH platform
  • Liaising with their Occ Health Provider and managing OHN diary appointments

Systems & Data Management

  • Updating Workday and ADP (shift pattern changes, password resets, RFID changes)
  • Managing the HR Hitchin inbox and responding to queries
  • Monthly visa checks
  • Issuing All Hands registers

Employee Relations Support

  • Supporting managers with:
  • Grievances
  • Disciplinaries
  • Investigations
  • Providing accurate HR guidance in line with company policies

General HR Administration

  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting HR projects and workload peaks
  • Ensuring all documentation is handled confidentially

What We're Looking For:

  • CIPD Level 3 (minimum)
  • HR advisory confidence and experience
  • Manufacturing industry background (preferably)
  • Confident, organised and comfortable working onsite in a busy HR environment
  • Someone proactive, detail‑oriented and able to manage competing priorities
  • Experience of WorkDay, or similar software and confidence with Excel
