Warehouse Assistant (Part-Time) Basingstoke outskirts ( £14/15 per hour)
We are seeking a proactive and reliable person to join a close‑knit team and help keep the warehouse running efficiently. In this role, you'll play a key part in the smooth flow of daily operations, from preparing orders to maintaining an organised and safe working environment. You'll handle pallet and courier dispatches, support the fulfilment of online and trade orders, and assist the Supply Chain Manager with stock‑related tasks.
This is a permanent part-time on-site opportunity
Location is based on the outskirts of Basingstoke, so access to your own transport is essential.
What you'll be doing
- Accurately pick, pack and prepare goods for pallet and courier collections.
- Support the fulfilment of online and direct trade orders.
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and well organised.
- Help load and unload incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Receive and check stock, ensuring counts and paperwork are accurate.
- Work alongside the Supply Chain Manager during regular stock takes.
- Assist with simple admin and reporting tasks when needed.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment or stock‑handling role (e.g., retail replenishment).
- A positive team player who can also work confidently on their own.
- Ability to use standard warehouse equipment, such as pallet trucks (training provided).
- Forklift licence preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
- Comfortable lifting items up to 30kg and undertaking physical tasks such as standing, bending and moving throughout the day.
- Happy working in a temperature‑controlled warehouse setting.
- A valid driving licence may be required depending on day‑to‑day duties.
Hours
This is a part‑time position, working the equivalent of three full days per week initially. Final working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.
