Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 per year (pro rata salary £10,400 - £11,200 based on 2 days per week)]
Working Pattern: Part time 14 hours per week (2 days a week one must be a Saturday)

Tate are supporting the recruitment of a Visitor Experience Officer working two days a week to help deliver an outstanding experience for all who visit a niche museum based in central London. This is an opportunity for history graduates, tour guides, history lovers and anyone who loves bringing stories to life to play a key part in welcoming the public to one of London's most distinctive cultural and historical locations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing a warm welcome and sharing key information with members of the public
- Answering visitor questions and engaging them with the collections.
- Delivering guided tours.
- Encouraging digital tour sales and donations.
- Invigilating galleries and assisting library users.
- Supporting the retail team and volunteer rota.
Skills / experience:
You will bring excellent customer service, strong verbal communication in English and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The ability to retain large quantities of historical facts and information with ease. These qualities will help you create a positive experience for all visitors and support colleagues across the museum and retail spaces.
