Account Manager - Southampton - Hybrid position working in the office 4 days a week and 1 day from home - £27,000 + excellent bonus and package

We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Account Manager to manage and grow relationships within a defined geographic market or industry. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building connections, delivering excellent service, and driving commercial success.

Key Responsibilities for the Account Manager

  • Develop and manage assigned customer accounts, ensuring consistent engagement and support.
  • Strengthen existing relationships to increase business volume and diversify product/service offerings.
  • Ensure customer requirements around pricing, delivery, quality, and special handling are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Coordinate large bids, quotes, and orders in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide technical information and support to customers as needed.
  • Accurately enter and confirm sales orders.
  • Proactively manage order backlogs and expedite where necessary.
  • Handle customer returns and ensure smooth resolution.
  • Support team members during peak periods and absences.
  • Participate in additional projects and initiatives as assigned.

  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or customer service.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational abilities.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
