Digital Project Manager - 2 year Fixed Term Contract

A leading UK institution is seeking a skilled Digital Project Manager to join their iSolutions team, delivering innovative IT projects that support digital transformation across the institution. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead impactful initiatives in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

You'll manage multiple concurrent projects, working closely with technical and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that align with strategic goals and technical standards. The role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to shape digital delivery in a complex and dynamic organisation.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of medium to large-scale IT projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality expectations.
  • Manage project resources, budgets, procurement, and benefits realisation across multiple workstreams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, priorities, and escalation paths.
  • Produce clear and engaging reports, dashboards, and presentations to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Apply project delivery frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile) and ensure alignment with technical architecture standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and contribute to sector innovation.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers to support successful project outcomes.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience managing digital or IT projects in a large organisation.
  • Strong understanding of project methodologies such as PRINCE2 (Foundation or Practitioner) or Agile.
  • Skilled in budget tracking, forecasting, and resource management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into clear business language.
  • Experience working in matrix environments and managing multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable navigating complex organisational structures and driving delivery across diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of software and hardware deployment lifecycles is desirable.
  • Higher Education experience is a plus but not essential.
