Tate promote: work place fun factor
As part of a drive to promote work place fun factor - The team at Tate Welwyn Garden City invited their clients and candidates to join them for a free outdoor fitness session run by Regiment Fitness.
The idea came about following a recent Tate Employee Engagement Seminar hosted by Russell Beck, Head of Consulting for Impellam Group. The seminar highlights the importance of surveying how engaged employees are and ideas on improving productivity within the workplace. In addition with a recent announcement from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Practice that wage rises are forecasted to take a dip until at least 2020, the CIPD are also urging companies to look at new ways to invest in the engagement of staff to help retain talent. Claire Harman, Operations Manager at Tate, contacted Steve Nodwell founder of Regiment Fitness to see if they could help.
I took part in the Regiment War race in Hertford and had so much fun, it’s a 5k, 10k or 20k obstacle course with unique challenges, featuring slides, tunnels, rope climbs, water, suitable for all fitness levels and it really promotes team work. I wanted to share the fun factor with my team, this soon expanded into considering how we could get our temporary workforce involved and also how we could help our clients to support the outside work interests of their staff. Investing in staff engagement is a “win-win” for all, it helps to improve staff morale, work life balance and performance. We had a great turn out on the day, the encouragement from the Military trained PT Instructors was fantastic.
