An award winning intellectual property law firm based in the city is seeking a Billing Administrator, paying up to £34,000 plus benefits, to join their growing client services function.

This a relatively new function for the law firm and was established due to client demand. This it will be supporting the fee earners based in both Bath and the London office with their billing needs. With the function only being three years old, there will be loads of scope for growth and development for this new member of the team!

The team will be growing together, so there will be loads of scope for growth and development in this role.

Duties include the following:

  • Act as first point of contact for queries and requests from lawyers across the UK and EMEA
  • Organise and manage own monthly billing workload, such as preparation of WIP reports, amending WIP, drafting and finalising bills. Assisting paralegals with billing queries and supporting the billing team.
  • Assist the Billing Coordinator with ebilled clients, including the upload of files & bills, the onboarding process for new ebilled clients, managing client invoices and client rates, invoice rejections and queries
  • Communicate with clients
  • Liaise with the accounts team
  • Manage disbursements
  • Request the opening of new case files
  • Assist in producing reports and monitoring of WIP and billed fees to ensure compliance with budgets
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets and monitoring compliance
  • Assist with the preparation of statement of costs (interim and final)

The ideal candidate will come from a finance and accounting background, ideally having worked in the law industry. You will have a good understanding of legal billing/ invoicing and an eye for detail. If this sounds like you please upload your CV in Word format.
