HR Advisor

NHS Crawley HQ, Hybrid (few days in the office a month required)

Full time hours - 5 days a week 37.5 hours

Fixed term contract 12 months

Our client is a public sector organisation the Southeast. The purpose of this role is to provide high quality HR advice and support to managers and staff, enable managers to build an inclusive, attractive, effective and safe culture and engage their staff, and effectively manage absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance cases. Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and support managers on investigations, including grievance, disciplinary, and bullying and harassment cases
  • Provide high quality HR advice to managers and operational management teams that drives the achievement of the organisational strategy, objectives, culture and values and builds an inclusive and diverse workforce
  • Attend operational management meetings, providing specialist HR advice
  • Provide regular reporting to operational leaders and management teams on people performance, using data and insights to identify trends, issues and risks
  • Actively use workforce information and trend data to advise managers on actions to improve people leadership and management in their areas
  • Advise and support managers on appropriate action to take on disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence issues, supporting managers to resolve issues informally at an early stage wherever possible
  • Advise managers and staff on the interpretation and application of terms and conditions of service and contractual issues.
