Tate are excited to be supporting a prestigious organisation within the aviation industry, to recruit a Team Lead into their busy Finance function.
Our client is looking for a talented individual that specialises in Accounts Payable, Team Management and Data Assurance, with a further focus on having the confidence to present to senior stakeholders.
The role will work on a Hybrid basis, with you expected to be in the office twice a week. This is an exciting time to join our client and offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a globally known brand.
Role details
As the Team Lead in their Finance delivery team, you will be responsible for Account Payable overseeing a team delivering the day-to-day activities. You will lead and develop your team, ensuring appropriate capacity, expertise, knowledge, and skills are in place.
Your main objective will be delivering payments on time to suppliers, employees for expenses and working with the procurement team.
You will drive to highlight any system challenges and escalate efficiently to the accountable team, whilst signing off monthly process and key controls.
Main Duties
- Providing leadership to the team on a day-to-day basis ensuring a smooth delivery of the service, focusing on quality, service standards and process improvements.
- Taking accountability for the team's performance against defined milestones and KPIs
- Developing strong and meaningful relationships with stakeholders that drive value through clear objectives, effective prioritisation, accurate data and driving continuous improvements.
- Creating and enabling culture that delivers accountability, openness, and improvement
- Ensuring future initiatives, plans and activities are robustly set up and prioritised to ensure accurate and timely delivery
- Ensure effective audit controls are followed through, use data to identify trends and key priorities, create an auditable trail of documents and actions.
Experience and Skills
- Demonstrable people management skills, with the ability to create positive, fast-paced, service-focused team culture
- Effective influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders on all levels
- Demonstrable experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced changing environment
- Strong resilience and a drive to achieve great results within tight deadlines, whilst being comfortable with ambiguity and managing through changing priorities.
Desirable Experience
- Working in a cross functional environment
- Data assurance background
