Team Administrator - £28,000 - £30,000 - Chandlers Ford - Full time hours Monday to Friday - on site

We are working with a local engineering business in Chandlers Ford looking for an experienced administrator to join their small and friendly team to support the managers and their contractors. You will need to be able to juggle a busy workload where priorities can change daily, and enjoy working with people at all levels.

The Team Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the tendering team with downloading and saving tenders, logging received and sent
  • Counting drawings inputting information onto a spreadsheet and obtaining quotes from our wholesalers.
  • Supporting the project team includes tracking changes on redesigns, capturing additional costs, and putting together orders to send to clients.
  • Creating large manuals from a template and incorporating information from staff and subcontractors.
  • Setting up and maintaining folders on the server re-organising the digital files, and updating document templates as required.
  • General assistance within the office including stationary, printing, filling, archiving, parking for the site teams, etc.
  • Ordering staff work wear and PPE, arranging distribution to members of staff on an ad hoc basis when required.
  • Liaising with the external IT team to set up new users, leavers, new computers/laptops, issues with the printers etc.
  • Booking holiday requests from staff and logging these.
  • Answering the phone and handling queries, re-directing, and taking messages
  • Uploading account information onto Xero and retrieving information for management
  • Organising 'fun' activities for the office such as charity donations at Christmas, football sweepstakes, etc.

Key skills and experience

  • Previous experience in a busy administration role
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and ideally Xero
  • Exceptional organisational skills with a high level of accuracy
