We are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner for a locally based manufacturing organisation.
This is a key role within the business and will involve lots of interaction with other senior members of the team.
This role is office based, the working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm.
Key tasks & responsibilities
To be able to maintain HR systems
To be the first point of contact for all HR related queries
Ensure the delivery of effective HR support on a day-to-day basis working closely with Managers, providing guidance on all HR Generalist matters
Deal with disciplinary/grievance and HR issues, using HR and company knowledge.
To provide support, and where necessary coaching and training to Line Managers in areas such as Disciplinary, Grievance and Conflict Handling
Responsibility for the recruitment process from start to finish, be able to develop job descriptions, prepare and write job adverts.
Prepare offer letters
Complete the HR induction for all new starters
Monitor sickness & absenteeism levels for all staff based on site
Monitor Payroll; generating payroll documents, working with external payroll bureau, answer any payroll related queries
Be involved in the yearly Budget setting
Complete yearly salary reviews and the benchmarking of salaries
Review and revise HR Policies and handbook updates to ensure compliance and best practice
Responsible for ensuring Annual Appraisals are completed.
Liaise with company solicitors re Employment Law issues
To report any unsafe acts or Health, Safety and Environmental incidents
CIPD level 5 minimum with experience of Employment Law - ideally in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of Shift patterns
Excellent communicator - with an enthusiastic and approachable manner
Able to handle a varied & challenging role
