A great opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant (part-qualified) to join our client's fantastic international organisation due to an internal promotion.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be expected to assist in evaluating and managing financial performance, by providing analysis on project profitability, variances to budget, working capital and legacy WIP.

Within the role you will also provide and facilitate financial support to the JV Framework Manager, Commercial Manager, Project Managers, etc.

Personal Competencies & Qualities

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly GM report for the JV/SCO combined and gathering of information for reporting schedules for SCO.
  • Assisting in preparation of Board Pack Reports
  • Ownership of working capital management, monthly cash forecast for partners, including the preparation of relevant reports and analysis.
  • Providing financial information and analysis related to projects profitability.
  • Review projects for completion and final accounting, oversee financial controls in closing projects process.
  • Preparation and posting of financial journals (if required)
  • Preparations, workings, and upload, via time-sheet uploader, monthly labour data and expenses for both partners, perform monthly final data reconciliation.
  • Calculation and applying 6.4% uplift to labour cost.
  • Performing other ad hoc duties as required to support Commercials, the Finance Manager and Unit Management Accountant

Purpose of the Management Accountant role:

To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Financially and commercially aware, with excellent attention to numerical detail.
  • Have excellent system skills.
  • Have good people skills
  • Motivated for a career in accountancy and studying towards a finance qualification (ACCA/CIMA is preferred).

Relevant experience working within a finance department, preferably a multinational organisation with complex billing.

  • An excellent aptitude to working with and supporting colleagues.
  • Able to communicate financial matters (both verbal and written) effectively to a diverse range of individuals, with varying levels of financial literacy.
  • Previous exposure to complex accounting software is desirable, as well as advanced competence in Microsoft programmes, especially Excel.
  • Ability to prioritise work tasks, able to work to tight month end reporting deadlines.
  • Comfortable embracing a full range of duties from data entry/processing through to reporting financial performance to management.
