Systems Accountant

We are currently recruiting for an interim Systems Accountant for a 2 month assignment for a well known charity in the Letchworth area.

To start mid July 2022

This role will be office based and will be full-time hours - Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 5.30pm.

My client is looking for an experienced Accountant who is able to assist and recommend and review their financial systems.

To determine current processes and ascertain that they are fit for purpose

Identify key controls within each process and assess whether the controls are adequately designed to mitigate the risks inherent in the process

Suggest improvements to processes and controls after discussion with stakeholders

Document agreed processes and controls

There is a requirement to comply with all the company policies, procedures and guidelines

Communicate with internal staff working very closely with the Finance Department

Person Specification:

Be an experience Accountant - either by qualification or just by experience - and ideally some

Financial Systems Analysis experience

Ability to determine effectiveness of systems to suggest improvements

To work well as a part of a team or on own initiative

Strong IT skills - preferably have knowledge of Sage 200

Excellent communications skills
