A dedicated, driven and creative Business Support Manager is required to join a highly respected and award winning not for profit organisation based in Stevenage. This is a great role for a business support professional who would like to join an organisation that has a life changing impact on young people lives. Your key objective in this role will be to provide, professional, administrative, and project support to the organisations Managing Director.

The successful candidate will be joining an organisation that actively encourages a culture of autonomy and participation in order to future proof our younger generation, in the workplace of tomorrow.

This is a Hybrid role working both from the office in Stevenege and from home.

As a Business Support Manager, you will ultimately be responsible for:

  • Researching and preparing documents and data for the Managing Director and Board of Trustees, including the administration of the organisations policies, procedures and strategy documentation
  • Accurately recording and communicating minutes and actions
  • Proof-reading internal documentation, newsletters, reports etc and distributing as required
  • Support for ongoing projects including:
    • Social media communications
    • Tracking success
    • Grant funding
    • Brand identity review
    • It Services and telephone review
  • Performing office duties that include ordering supplies and managing contractors
  • Support for HR functions including monthly payroll systems, working hours, holiday, and sick leave for employees, as well as maintaining HR policy documentation.
  • Undertaking additional tasks or responsibilities to meet business requirements.

The ideal Business Support Manager candidate will need:

  • Experience of working within a similar type of role
  • A positive and creative attitude
  • Great time management skills
  • An analytic and inquisitive mind
  • Excellent IT and systems knowledge including QuickBooks (preferable)
  • The ability to use their own initiative
  • A Good understanding of social media
  • Great attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • GDPR Knowledge

Working Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 5:00 The right candidate can expect to receive a salary of up to £33,000 plus a benefits package.
