Up to £30,000 DOE
The HR Advisor will work closely with the team supporting the Head of HR in managing day to day employee queries. Assisting with recruitment, new starter on boarding and leaver processes. This is an integral role supporting the employee life cycle.
You will support with any employee relations issues by providing advice and assistance on policies, procedures and employment law best practice.
This role will suit an experienced HR Administrator, seeking that "next step up" in their HR career!
Building effective working relationships with people at all levels within the Potters Bar office and wider business to add value to the delivery of employee services by understanding individual strengths, development areas and the needs of the business.
Support the HR Team Co-Ordinator with recruitment campaigns including: advertising vacancies, collating applications and data, corresponding with candidates, assisting managers with the shortlisting and selection process, scheduling and holding interviews.
Monitor recruitment and selection data to contribute to HR Team reports.
Work with the HR Team Co-ordinator to maintain employee records including manual and electronic filing systems, including employee records, new starters, leavers, internal transfers and salary increases.
Respond to enquiries and offering HR advice, to queries which are sent to the HR Team Inbox.
Employment contracts administration: preparing contracts for new starters, contract changes, extensions and keeping accurate records
Manage on boarding of new starters including right to work checks, references, preparing offer letters, contracts and onboarding documents.
Manage probation review process ensuring the probation process is followed and regular check ins with Managers/Leaders are completed, collection of forms and letters sent out in a timely manner.
Manage off boarding process for leavers including leaver details, exit interviews, and collating reasons for leaving.
Provide HR support and advice on complex cases, including performance (PIP's), disciplinary and grievance, including effective management with HR involvement at all stages, ensuring that the Head of HR is engaged at each stage of the process.
Previous experience of working at HR Advisor level, an eye to detail, proficiency with Microsoft Office, good communication skills, ability to work as a team.
CIPD Level 3 qualified (desirable), working towards / with a desire to work towards their Level 5.
