Service Centre Administrator - Portsmouth Naval Base (PNB)

Start Date - ASAP subject to security clearance

Rate -£10 per hour plus holiday pay

Duration - 3 months plus

Role Profile:

Working as a member of the Service Desk, you will be responsible for receiving and taking calls from all types of customers from PNB, ensuring customer requests are logged on our database system and sent to the correct delivery area.

You will achieve this by:

Considerable experience in business support function

Considerable knowledge of the team in which they work

Can use all Microsoft office software comprehensively

Needs a comprehensive knowledge of a range of work routines, procedures and systems across a discipline

Good communication skills

Regularly exchanges information

Will need to be able to confidently liaise with robust and sometimes awkward contacts.

Accuracy/attention to detail is required

Essential requirements:

  • A self-motivated and organiser with a strong work ethic and high personal standards.
  • A team player, with excellent communication skills, who works with others to accomplish objectives and deliver a positive result while developing and maintaining open, honest and constructive relationships.
  • Hold security clearance or ability to obtain.
  • Problem solving analytical skills with the ability to think fast, spot trends, generate new ideas and to deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to remain positive and resilient within a constantly changing and evolving business environment.
  • Accurate record keeping skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience of having worked in a customer facing, via the telephone and email role.
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of working within a Service Desk Environment.
  • Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) user knowledge and experience.
