A meticulous, organised, engaging and qualified Finance Professional is required to join an innovative international tech business-based Hitchin. As a qualified Financial Controller, you will be a key part of the organisations management team and will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of financial management for the UK operation. This will include managing and developing the accounts assistant, corporate accounting, budgeting, multi-currency cash management, financial and regulatory reporting and financial risk management.

This is Hybrid working role and will involve working 3-4 days a week in the office based in Hitchin

As Financial Controller, you will ultimately be responsible for:

  • Managing all accounting operations including:
    • Billing
    • Sales, purchase, and nominal ledger
    • Cost accounting
    • Inventory and cash book management
    • Revenue recognition
  • The preparation and publishing of monthly financial reports and financial statement
  • The coordination and preparation of all regulatory reports ensuring that all financial activity and practices are compliant
  • Supporting the month end and year end close process
  • Manage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Assist with office management matters
  • Manage insurance and financial compliance

The ideal Financial Controller candidate will need:

  • Must be qualified (ACCA, CIMA or AAT)
  • Experience of working within a similar
  • Experience of using accounting software, preferably Sage or Quick-books
  • Evidence of creating financial statements
  • Must be proactive, able to use your own initiative, detail oriented, excellent communicator and able to work independently
  • Experience of nominal ledger and month end/ year end close process
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

This role is full-time, working 9 to 5:30 paying a salary of between £35,000 to £40,0000 for the right candidate, plus a performance related bonus scheme. The organisation is based in Hitchin and is in walking distance of the train station. The role can offer flexible working hours, plus Hybrid working which will involve 3 to 4 days per week in the office.If you have the experience to match the requirements, please apply now to Neil Copping.
