Junior Accounts Assistant

My client a growing tech company based in Frogmore just outside of St Albans is seeking a Junior Accounts Assistant, paying between £19,000 to £24,000 plus an excellent benefits package, to join their buzzy head office.

The role will be working to assist the company Accountant with all the junior accounts admin duties as well and will involve and extensive training programme as well as the opportunity to do some paid outside learning. Duties will include the following:

• Check the shared accounts inbox and distribute incoming documents
• Admin duties, such as scanning and filing
• Posting incoming customer/ client payments
• Requests and electronically save customer remittance for all received payments
• Ensuring that incoming payments are posted accurately and within the set deadlines
• Assisting with Credit Control, emailing customer statements and chasing new debt twice a week
• Assisting AP & AR as needed with raising customer invoices, posting purchase invoices month end reconciliations.
• Any other ad-hoc accounting tasks

The ideal candidate will be a College or University leaver looking for their first role in Accounting. You will maybe have your level 2 AAT or some sort of accounting qualifications. A want to learn is a must as well as just looking to kick start your career within accounting in a growing and expanding company.
