Data Analyst (Homeworking role)

Pay £12.31 - £12.82 per hour

8.30-17.00 Monday to Friday

3 month Temp role with a possibility of a permanent opportunity (to start Mid July latest)

Our established Public Sector client is looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years Data Analyst experience coupled with having excellent people skills. This role will need you to chase in data so having an assertive manner is essential.

Experience in "Power BI" would be absolutely ideal although this client would consider advanced Excel skills as well.

Primary Duties:

  • Working to very strict deadlines - daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly
  • Using in-house system to check and correct incoming data each day
  • Monitoring and auditing data quality
  • Producing regular and ad-hoc reports using Excel and Power BI
  • Liaising with customers to understand requirements around data presentation
  • Creating bespoke reports to report key metrics, analyse trends and provide actionable insights to customers
  • Presenting reports to contract holders in the public sector
  • Assisting 400 remote staff by phone and email with queries and issues around the in-house system
  • Data migration into Power BI going forward

Core Skills:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar data analysis role
  • Extremely proficient in Excel or Google Sheets including pivot tables and formulas - VBA proficiency desirable
  • Proficient with PowerPoint
  • Understanding of data management principles
  • Experience of working with large datasets
  • Experience of creating dashboards and working with visualisations
  • Knowledge of data protection and GDPR
  • Knowledge of Power BI extremely advantageous
  • Familiar with Microsoft Teams for all training and day-to-day comms
