Job Title: Training Lead
Reporting to: Operations Manager
University Hospital Plymouth is on the frontline of fighting Covid 19.
They are recruiting a new staff member for a temp contract until the end of June at a new laboratory based in Plymouth.
They are looking for an experienced individual to fill the role of Laboratory Training Lead. The successful candidate will have experience of training staff of different competency levels, preferably with experience of training in the area of molecular biology or other scientific discipline.
The main purpose of the role is to support the technical and personal development of Laboratory staff through the provision and oversight of training and competency.
The successful candidate will ensure the timely and accurate recording of all training and competency related documentation, identify training needs and work with the appropriate staff to address these needs and ensure the continued maintenance of skills and knowledge required to effectively carry out the role.
Working hours: 9-5 , five days a week, may be required to work additional hours.
Experience and qualifications required:
- Minimum of 2 years post state registration experience in an accredited laboratory
- BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences or a degree acceptable to the IBMS and the Health Professions Council (HPC)
- Experience of teaching/training at a higher level.
- A recognized qualification in teaching/training or significant demonstrable experience.
