Quality Assurance Technician

Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

This Client is an award winning global leader in the production of high performance polymers and the number one provider of dental acrylic powder to the dental industry.

The role of Quality Assurance and Quality Control Technician is to advise on the technical aspects relating to the production of the product at the manufacturing site and includes chemical health and safety and to carry out all Quality Assurance, Quality Control duties for the site.

As a technician you would be required to operate day-to-day QA / QC work and advise all levels of staff on matters regarding quality and related HSE requirements.

You will support the "Quality System Management" as defined in ISO 9001, ISO13485 and MDD/MDR registered quality systems, and also Environment Agency compliance and direction via iPPC requirements.

Other key duties:

Maintain and monitor technical production archives, and to support all reporting requirements to the Environment Agency, Health and Safety Executive, and Utility Supply Companies as required.

Research and development projects and be expected to provide inputs, generate reports and present findings to senior members of staff.

Maintain in-house company QC databases, manufacturing (SAP) databases & records as required.

To maintain raw material COSHH, Health & Safety data (including MSDS, specification and technical data-sheets) for all raw materials used, and advise all personnel accordingly.

Manage the laboratory equipment in providing the QA/ QC services required by the Quality system and "trouble shooting" services requested by production personnel.

The technician will be expected to liaise with the production and technical teams to discuss QA/QC outcomes and improvements.

Health and Safety compliance is also part of the Technicians responsibilities.
