Tate are working with a leading Not for Profit organisation on the outskirts of Sidmouth who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager to their busy income team
The primary purpose of this role is to provide finance business partnering and comprehensive performance analysis of all fundraising and commercial activities. A current fully qualified active member of a recognised professional accounting institute, you will ensure strong relationships are maintained with income generation (fundraising and commercial) managers, improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on charity performance and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies. The role holder will be expected to build and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with senior managers and their teams across the organisation and its subsidiaries.
With demonstrable experience of performance reporting in a fast-moving commercial organisation, you will be responsible for the provision and presentation of high-quality management accounting data, reports and advice to stakeholders across The Donkey Sanctuary. Employing data analytics and financial modelling using finance and other system data, you will provide clarity of presentation of financial reporting across all levels of the charity up to and including trustees, underpinning interpretation and decision making to the highest level. Possessing excellent motivational and leadership skills, you will manage the day-to-day function of the Income Team, providing effective communication, guidance and support, coaching, training and development, managing workloads as well as monitoring performance and setting objectives in accordance with the organisation's strategic plans.
A proven record of accomplishment in financial risk management and evaluation of business cases and commercial proposals, together with excellent communication skills and the ability to successfully communicate with people at all levels of an organisation, is essential, as are an advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications (including a demonstrable track record of using and building Excel models for financial analysis) and the ability to deliver to tight reporting deadlines and effectively manage priorities. A working knowledge of charity accounting and taxation regulations and of international accounting and taxation (VAT) requirements is desirable.
