Tate Manchester are recruiting for an experienced, positive and customer focused Customer Service Executive to join our clients busy Customer Care Department.

Our client is one of the largest, privately owned recycling companies in Manchester and has been delivering exceptional services for over 30+ years.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Primary contact for customers - deal with order requests etc in a timely professional manner (by telephone, electronically or face to face)
  • Help maintain a high level of customer satisfaction - polite, cheery, positive telephone manner
  • Handle all incoming phone calls and enquiries
  • Handle a high volume of customer emails
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and process orders, forms, applications, requests and raise quotations
  • Take ownership, document and record actions of any customer complaints through to resolution of issues
  • Manage and update customer records, service agreements etc and any input to IT system and any additional administration duties
  • Undertake telephone customer satisfaction surveys with existing customers

To be successful you will:

    • Be passionate about delivering an exceptional level of customer service
    • Be highly customer focused and people orientated individual
    • Demonstrate good levels of general education (literacy and numeracy)
    • Have strong IT literacy - particularly covering Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
    • Have knowledge of customer service principles and practices
    • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
    • Have strong telephone skills
    • Have great listening skills
    • Ideally have a basic/good knowledge of the Greater Manchester geographical area
    • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • A positive, flexible and adaptable approach to work
    • The ability to work well under pressure
    • Experience of working in a fast-paced call handling environment (desirable but not essential)


£20,000 - £22,500

  • Mon - Friday 07.30 - 18.000pm
  • (One in four Saturdays - 08.00 - 13.00pm)
