We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join our clients Governance department. As Compliance Adviser, you will support the Data Compliance team in establishing, developing and coordinating effective governance of information across the organisation to ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You will also assist with the day to day operations of the clients insurance portfolio and policy library.
Possessing significant experience of working in a similar role, you will provide advice and guidance to the client on data protection issues, including subject access requests, incidents, complaints, queries and risks, and will carry out data protection audits and conduct impact assessments for all departments within the clients business, continually collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify weaknesses and maintain overall data integrity. You will Investigate and report upon any data concerns and/or breeches, be responsible for responding to Subject Access Requests within the required legal framework, and will record and prepare responses for all data related complaints from members of the public.
Demonstrable up-to-date knowledge of the Data Protection Act and GDPR, together with experience of collating information of a confidential nature across a wide group of internal stakeholders and of producing detailed, high quality reports for senior level interpretation, is essential, as are excellent communication, organisation and planning skills, and the ability to make good decisions and maintain a high degree of professionalism and composure whilst dealing with a number of conflicting and time-sensitive demands.
