Product Co-Ordinator

Full time, flexible working and working from home available

Brand new position! The first new recruit in a recruitment drive to grow the business

Join a team that works to source innovative products for its retail clients. This business represents some of the largest retail businesses in the UK and works to source products from global suppliers for the UK market. This is a role that requires experience of sourcing products or buying knowledge/experience and an enthusiasm for identifying new trends and researching retail competitors - a business that is growing as their market grows

You will research the competitors and identify new products and trends - comparing ranges - to ensure the retail outlets are ahead of the competition. Finding suppliers for these new products and helping the customer launch these products in the UK market,

Responsibilities

Product Development

  • Coordinate development of multiple product ranges over different categories
  • Communicate on a regular basis with global suppliers; primarily in Asian and European regions
  • Attend meeting with customers on new and current projects - UK travel
  • Research competitors by visiting stores and viewing their product range, read reviews and find top sellers that your client needs to introduce
  • Compile detailed briefs for the internal global team or external suppliers; and manage future developments of the briefs
  • Manage profit margins for the business through setting pricing structures. Have an active part in meeting sales budgets
  • Managing packaging creation in line with company and customer needs
  • Have an active involvement in future product and market development
  • Regularly research competitors and provide competitor analysis where required
  • Regularly research and understand the market in which the company's products are involved in. Provide Gap analysis where required
  • Attend trade shows domestically or internationally to source new products for the client

General

  • Manage content on customers websites, uploading graphics and detailed descriptions of the new products
  • Manage content on company websites
  • Manage artwork and graphics approval process with customers to ensure compliance with website standards
  • Manage orders with customers, ensuring products are delivered on time for launch into the consumer market

Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Qualifications or experience in Marketing, Buying or Product Development

Experience:

  • Exposure to Microsoft Office products (Excel (Formulas, VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables), Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Proven ability to adapt and improvise as required - self-starter attitude
  • Experience in a buying role, product development or retail marketing of products

Skills:

  • Superior attention to detail
  • A great communicator, written and verbal
  • Ability to multitask - manage own workload and be 'one step ahead'
  • Great time management
  • Copy writing skills (desirable)
