Our client is looking for a Production Editor to join their publishing team, in this position you will be working alongside the Head of Publishing and the wider publishing team to assist with creating the publishing programme and to developing new products. It provides the opportunity to fast-track your publishing skills, to work with high profile brands and to be part of a growing, successful business.As a production Editor some of your core duties will include:· Assisting with the creation of the publishing programme· Create specification briefs and work closely with the production team to ensure the standard of the product is always to the highest· Ensure that the team follows the correct work flow process for each creation and assist with this as required· Ensure the product is created on time in line with team schedules · Liaise with publishing partners and ensure key project milestones are delivered on time · Analyse current trends and gaps in the market· Research, write, copy-edit, proof-read and sign off creations across the brand · Ensure files are editorially accurate and created in line with the required quality level at all stages of design

Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:· A thorough understanding of the editorial process· Excellent copy-editing and proof-reading skills· Great organisational skills· The ability to prioritise your workload· People management skills · A history of problem solving in the workplace · Excellent copy-editing and proof-reading skillsAs well as a salary of £23,000 per annum, you will receive the following benefits:· Hours - Monday - Friday 0900 -1730 · Opportunity for flexible hours· 28 days annual leave plus statutory· Other benefits to include: Death in service, contributory pension scheme, social committee, free fruit, employee assistance helpline, eye care vouchers, car valeting.
