Product Content Specialist - 3-4 Month Contract
Purpose of Role :
Accountable for executing and optimisation product selling content across selling channels. Owner of the brief and digital implementation with the responsibility for publishing clear, accurate and customer focused selling hierarchies and content across data and visual assets which reflect the brand, delivers strong SEO benefits and helps our customer make informed purchasing decisions.
* Management and maintenance of product selling content (data and visual assets), how this is published, optimised and creating the best possible shopping experience for our customers. * Drive an understanding of the optimal set up for product selling content across digital, non-digital, in store labelling and other marketing channels (where required) with a focus on driving conversion to sale or footfall to stores* Owner of process to support product build activities and maintenance including;- Hierarchy set up, product data brief ownership, data/ improvements in STEP- Visual asset (Photography, PDF, video, 360's) editing, creation (schematics etc) and publication in Scene7* Work closely with Product Selling Content Manager to develop product selling content principles and guidelines, act as the gatekeeper to ensure quality and consistency levels are met and maintained. * Deliver a consistent and cohesive experience across data and visual assets, acknowledging and understanding the relationship and importance of striking the right balance and how this differs across category* Design and copy write rules to create impactful and informative product titles and introductions. Understand and utilise all attribute information and specification to create compelling outputs which is a balance of customer language, commercially and delivers against SEO guidelines* Provide briefs and guidelines to the Master Data team to support the timely delivery of accurate data and visual assets acquisition for all product builds. Be clear on deliverable and deadlines and ensure these are met. Create briefs to Digital Production team for new visual assets required to meet guidelines.* Responsible for improving product page conversion rates through best practice, competitor benchmarking, insights and delivering continuing improvements identified through MVT and iteration loop. * Run regular reporting on product page conversion metrics and commentary to feed into trading teams. Deliver improvements in product level SEO rankings.
* Experience working within e commerce environment focusing on a product content and /or CMS role* A highly organised forward planner with excellent time management skills* Product marketing experience and previous copywriting accountability an advantage * Flexible in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate real attention to detail.* A self starter, comfortable working within demanding deadlines * A working knowledge of tools like Riversand, Scene 7 and Photoshop preferable (but not essential as full training will be provided) * An up to date knowledge of SEO techniques and how to apply these to digital content * Uncompromising commitment to quality and delivering excellent customer experiences* Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment and build strong working relationships with stakeholders and functions * Experience working with technology and systems
