Do you have previous experience working as a HR Advisor with knowledge or ER processes and procedures? We are currently recruiting for a temporary HR Advisor to join our client based in Tolworth until the end of the year.

As the Retail HR Advisor, you will work closely with Managers within the company and provide advice and support on all employee relation issues. You will coach and mentor Managers on all performance management activities and provide key HR metrics to assist with the management of different teams within the business.

You will be hands on, enjoy working with a network of people across the country and always look for solutions to improve our people practices and enhance our culture.

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide employee relations advice in accordance with the company policies and current legislation.
  • Assist with any investigations into grievance and disciplinary issues and advise our managers, attending meetings where needed.
  • Support with all maternity/paternity/adoption/flexible working requests/long term sickness.
  • Write all employee related documentation - letters, follow up notes and ensure all records are saved in the system.
  • Coach and develop Managers on all HR practices to build their people management capability and confidence.
  • Monitor all employee relations activity across your designated area and provide a weekly overview to the relevant Area Managers.
  • Advise managers on managing sickness and absence and ensure policies are followed.
  • Work with the HR Manager to manage any industrial tribunal claims, liaising with employment lawyers where appropriate to reach a resolution.
  • Assist with the introduction of new or revised HR policies and processes, including the delivery of workshops for Managers.
  • Collate exit interview information for Managers to establish reasons for turnover.
  • Work with the L&D Manager to ensure induction process is set up for new starters.
