Job Title: Senior PA

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £18,000 - £21,000

Role: Temporary leading to fixed term contract

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior PA to join an Academy School based in Birmingham, you will be responsible to provide support to the Principal and Senior Leadership Team.

As a Senior PA your responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure the Executive Principal is kept up to date with all forthcoming meetings/events and prepare/research any documentation
  • Assist the Executive Principal in managing local budgets, cross reference PO requests
  • Organising and arranging meetings
  • Minute taking
  • Diary management
  • First point of contact for the Executive Principal
  • Offering support with end to end recruitment including advertising, arranging interviews and carrying out all background checks such as references and DBS check
  • Managing the leave of absence process
  • Complete return to work interviews for staff absences
  • General administration
  • Following compliance legislations and acting as a GDPR champion
  • Keeping website up to date with policies, postings, staffing and content regarding the Academy
  • Liaise with the Buildings and Operations Supervisor to ensure standards of cleaning and site maintenance are as required
  • Complete regular audits to ensure safeguarding checks are in place
  • Keep up to date with latest requirements around safeguarding
  • Provide relevant paperwork to the clerk of governors for management board meetings and ensure that appropriate arrangements for meeting are made

Skills and experience required:

  • Experienced PA
  • Competent in using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good organising, planning and prioritising skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Team Player
  • Time-management
  • Experience working in education sector (Desirable)
