Administrator/Secretary temporaries for various roles in Education

£9.85 - £10.50 + per hour

Length of assignment two to three months

Hours 9am - 5.30pm

We have several temporary roles we are recruiting for based in education in Brighton which need secretarial and administration skills/experience. We are actively seeking to recruit candidates available from now on a temporary basis for assignments 2 months or longer. Roles are based in different departments, but would require similar skills

Role could include:

  • Administrative and operational support such as printing and scanning, setting up team meetings (and note taking), diary management, managing travel arrangements, and other ad-hoc support as needed (such as maintaining records)
  • Supporting the organisation of internal workshops and training events, and external visits, including preparing attendee badges, publicity, and other materials, and associated purchase orders / invoices
  • Support the setting up of meetings and visits by liaising with attendees, organising room bookings and catering, travel arrangements as required
  • Maintain the data quality in various systems. Including logging, filing and distribution of data
  • Undertaking checks and completing due diligence forms
  • Maintaining email and other contact lists
  • Maintaining lists and keeping authorisation protocols up to date, and various Word and Excel templates and checklists

Please see below skills and experience requirements:

  • Confident written and communication skills to a high standard
  • Intermediate ability on Microsoft packages including excel
  • Experience of using various databases to capture and process information
  • Confident numeracy
  • Preparation of documents using Microsoft as required
  • Able to note take at meetings and type back up
  • Undertake regular basic tasks such as printing, scanning, shredding and ordering stationery
  • Demonstrable experience of working with databases, spreadsheets with an emphasis on accuracy
  • Experience of organising meetings, managing diaries, and travel bookings
  • Experience as an administrator in a busy team
