Are you an Insolvency Executive?
If so then please read on, we are working with an international firm in central Manchester and due to growth we are looking for some exciting new team members.
Overall Role Purpose
The Executive will work with assistant manager/managers and supervise administrators with the aim of progressing the Case Management Unit (CMU) elements of statutory insolvency cases in a timely and cost efficient manner and without the need for constant supervision. The Executive should have a good knowledge of all aspects of their cases and have a good basic knowledge of basic insolvency issues. When progressing their cases you should ensure that all relevant legislation is complied with.
Main responsibilities
Clients
Keeps up to date technically in order to successfully carry out role, e.g. attending internal training events including courses
Organised with strong time management skills
Operations and results
Involved in general case work which will require understanding and efficient implementation of insolvency and internal control procedures
Prepare and file appropriate statutory documents on appointment and throughout case
Deal with wind down issues i.e. lease disclaimers, insurance, debt collection, chasing debts and employee issues
Correspond with all relevant stakeholders by writing letters and emails, dealing with phone calls and may occasionally be required to travel to and work at client premises
Preparation of VAT returns/reclaims
Liaising with insurers, solicitors and agents and provide information requested
Completion of statutory report template documents and ensuring completion on compliance only cases
Maintaining statutory diary lines on the Insolvency Practitioners System (IPS)
Processing of transactions on the Transaction Processing System (TPS)
Maintaining information on the master case schedule
Maintaining control of the agreement of employee and unsecured claims
Arranging dividend audits and payment of dividends
Preparation of distribution accounts to dispense of funds held in bank accounts
Review of case handover notes to assess progression/closure requirements
Progressing statutory insolvency cases to closure
Person Specification
At least 2 years' insolvency experience
CPI preferable but not essential
