Our client based in Guildford is seeking an experienced Operations Assistant to support with Aftersales and Procurement duties.
We are looking for a motivated and passionate candidate who is detail oriented, able to work under pressure and is excited to be part of a dynamic team.
Core responsibilities of the role include:
- Placing and expediting orders with local suppliers and with the European headquarter
- Making sure the stock level is always adequate minimising obsolescence
- Managing pricelists for local suppliers
- Coordinating the network of local aftersales engineers
- Liaise with the internal Senior aftersales Engineer on management of claims and site visits planning
- Managing the flow of aftersales claims and liaise with the customer service dept accordingly
- Making sure the customers are constantly informed on the progress of their claims
- Liaising with the Italian after sales dept for complex issue
- Checking invoices for purchase of goods and services before they are passed to the accounting dept to highlight discrepancies or queries
- Developing and maintaining suppliers relationships
- Working in collaboration with the special products department and purchasing team when third party components are required to complete projects
- Collaborating with the customer services team and sales engineers for coordination of delivery and order reviews
- Managing your individual workload including a project list and associated deadlines.
- Daily communication with the Operations Manager and with more senior members of the team will be expected, to review the workload situation and personal project list, helping them with the allocation of new projects
Requirements:
- Technical-minded approach and excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer services skills
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines
- Ability to self-manage tasks and work independently with minimum supervision
