We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join a prestigious client in Hemel Hempstead. This role would suit someone who has a tenacity to achieve targets and has proven experience in creating and developing trading relationships with customers within the construction industry.


To develop and manage the company's existing account portfolio and to prospect and develop new business opportunities within the project development market place.

Key responsibilities:

  • To budget and deliver the sales turnover and other sales and marketing KPI's of the account portfolio
  • Identifying additional up-selling and cross-selling opportunities for existing customers
  • Developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with customers
  • Generating new leads and business and being proactive in the market place
  • To accurately forecast, manage, publish and report on the Key Sales Indicators to build market intelligence
  • Manage the flow of information from the field to the office

You will be:

  • Proven in meeting KPI's and have a track record of successful business development
  • Possessing a commercial approach with good communication and persuasion skills
  • Having a positive attitude with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Personable and a team player
  • Highly organised with a calm and focused approach
  • Proactive
  • Flexible in terms of working hours
  • Proficient with Sales Systems and MS Office
