My client based in Clerkenwell are a high end, luxury interior brand. They design furniture, lighting and accessories. Along with selling to private clients, they also partner up with international interior designers and architects. They have worked on custom projects for private residences, boutique hotels and restaurants throughout the world. They have critically acclaimed showrooms both in London and New York and are continuing to grow.
They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their small London team, salary £24-26,000
The duties of the role include but are not limited to:
-Entering purchase order invoices, coding & posting overheads invoices to the purchase ledger-Keeping purchase and sales ledgers tidy by running reports and allocating open items-Allocation of customer receipts and creation of VAT receipts-Managing supplier deposits and ensuring receipt of all VAT invoices-Timely and efficient entry and maintenance of sales and purchase orders (ad hoc, or when covering for colleagues)-Matching, coding and processing company credit card receipts-Assistance with stock accounting and reconciliation where required
The successful candidate will:
-At least 3 years experience of the Accounting function within a SME-Experience of Sage 200 (finance, BOM and Commercials) -Excellent written English and verbal communication skills-Advanced skills in Excel, as well as proficiency in Windows Office 365-Demonstrate excellent numeracy and attention to detail-Experience dealing with stock is desirable-Demonstrate a clear understanding of prepayments-Understanding of bookkeeping entries-Preferably studying towards a professional qualification (AAT)-Interest in design/interiors and/or manufacturing a plus
