This new role is to be the company Health & Safety Representative, provide support and ensure that legislation is followed at all times in both the Milton Keynes office and other sites in the UK when required. To also support the HR & Payroll Officer in payroll, HR administration tasks and recruitment. Health & Safety
· Professional supervision and guidance for all staff with regards to Health and Safety standards in all sites (where required)· Conduct new staff inductions in alignment with corporate needs and UK legislation for the Milton Keynes sites· DSE (Display Screen Equipment) checks and conduct risk assessments for all sites where necessary.· Advise and supervise all health and safety related needs to meet and maintain current UK standards· Consider and implement all Health & Safety Regulations, preventing any incidences when carrying out tasks,highlighting any issues to Top Management· Conduct weekly building H&S housekeeping inspections, ensuring all faults and problems are documented, reported and resolved · Attend monthly Health & Safety meetings with our logistics partner· Conduct and write risk assessments, H&S policies and other ad-hoc policies· Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazards
HR & Payroll (full training given)
· Process new starters, leavers and any payroll amendments on a monthly basis· Sign off and compile payroll reports for further checking and annual audits· Process annual tasks such as P60s, P11Ds and other legislative requirements where necessary· Process and check the monthly pension reports, ensure that the legislation is being followed at all times and assist staff where necessary in seeking pension advice· Provide accurate advice and assistance to employee queries· Maintenance of Personnel records, UK Intranet Page and Bonus scheme database ensuring systems are up to date with staff data and benefits· Assist and sometimes deputise in all aspects of recruitment from constructing job adverts, issuing invites, attending interviews and confirming/rejecting appointments· Accurately administer Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay and Statutory Paternity Pay · Monitor and record sickness and other absences, notifying staff when company sick pay is exhausted and informing management of Bradford Factor scoring· Carry out general HR administration tasks · Maintain complete discretion and maturity in handling sensitive and confidential data· Contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the function

*NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or*British Safety Council Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or*City & Guilds Level 5 (NVQ) Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice or*NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in Applied Health and Safety or any other equivalent
