Tate are currently recruiting for an experienced legal secretary with audio typing experience for a well known legal firm within the Manchester area.

The duties will be:

Document production: Producing documentation and correspondence including (but not limited to) reports,

letters, emails, memos, attendance notes, faxes, court documents, forms, Laserforms and spreadsheets; copy

typing; creating mark ups; proofreading and checking all work produced to ensure it is accurate, consistent,

adheres to Clyde & Co house style and meets the firm's standards

Amending documentation: Undertaking amendments, applying formatting and the firm's house styles

Audio transcription: Transcribing digital dictations, ensuring protocols are followed and work is saved into the

appropriate folders in the document management system

Pitches and presentations: Producing PowerPoint presentations and pitches, including illustrative graphs,

charts, tables, etc

Call handling: Dealing with telephone calls in a prompt and professional manner, taking and passing on clear

and concise messages; diverting phones, monitoring voicemails and updating greeting messages when team

members are absent

Communication: Maintaining open and appropriate communication lines with internal and external clients at all

times; building relationships with internal staff, handling all interactions in a professional manner; responding to

and seeking to resolve queries, ensuring follow-up; providing updates as to progress of work and/or ability to

meet deadline

Prioritisation: Managing and prioritising own workload (or as directed by the DP Coordinator) to ensure work is

turned around within agreed deadlines and timeframes

Teamwork: Working as part of a team with other Document Production staff to ensure deadlines are met and

work is produced to a high standard; sharing pertinent information with colleagues; liaising with the DP

Coordinator and completing full handovers between DP team members/shifts to ensure seamless service;

providing guidance and assistance to new/junior team members; working flexibly and providing support to other

team members; attending at and contributing to team meetings

Technical: Ability to operate fully and effectively the Microsoft programmes and software packages in use by

the firm

Other: Assisting with any other requirements that may arise

Applicants applying must have a typing speed of 60wpm.

Our client are recruiting for two shift patterns 10.30am to 19.00 and 13.30-22.00.
