Experienced Sales Team Manager required for Distribution business based in Luton. Role is to lead and manage a team of 5 Telesales Executives by driving activity to deliver more sales and add to turnover. As well as team management and development, the successful job holder will also be making outbound calls leading by example

Tate's client offers a vibrant and friendly working environment, £25k-£30k plus commission, 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday with 30 minutes lunch break, contributory pension

The role is to manage an Internal Sales team in a B2B environment working to KPI's and targets. Overseeing daily activities for Internal Sales to drive through sales and delivering exemplary customer service

Main Tasks:

  • Daily management of Internal Sales teams
  • Recruitment, retention and training of Internal Sales team
  • Manage sickness/absence/holidays
  • Monitor aged stock and reduce through promotions as applicable
  • Manage product promotions - control margins
  • Drive sales activity to deliver financial targets
  • Report on daily/monthly figures for senior management
  • Oversee customer queries/complaints to resolution
  • Lead generation and outbound calling
  • Work closely with the Sales Director

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of managing Sales teams
  • Background in selling products in B2B environment
  • Able to demonstrate achievements in driving sales, customer satisfaction, team performance, managing and monitoring KPI's, analysing results and contributing ideas to increase performance
  • Self-motivated, driven to succeed, customer-centric
  • Good understanding of supply chain - order delivery, procurement and consignment stock
  • Experience of delivering change and continuous improvement
  • Strong leadership, coaching & development skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; influencing and collaborating at all levels
  • Analytical; ability to create and deliver KPI's
