Buyer needed to work within a bustling procurement department within a hugely successful, leading international bank based in the City of London. Working within a wider team of Buyers all overseeing portfolios and contributing to the procurement strategy, you will play a pinnacle part in cost-saving and negotiations to ensure the long-term success of the team. Your responsibilities will include but arent limited to the following:
- Managing a portfolio of supplier contracts to ensure financial improvements and meet departmental targets- Contract negotiations and managing the tender process for suppliers - to ensure costs are kept to a minimum- Identifying and negotiating new supplier agreements, developing cross-company relationships- Working with the wider organisation
The company is going through an exciting stage of integration, therefore you will be involved in transferring contracts and guiding the relevant affected parties - to ensure the continued success of the procurement function. Im looking for an experienced Buyer with familiarity in the following:
- Contract negotiations and tenders with cost-saving in mind- CIPs qualification would be ideal, but not a necessity- Experience in managing multiple deadlines, working within a fast paced environment- Passionate about your work and proactive approach - you should be a self-starter keen to make their mark on a team
